    A preview that remembers your flow

    Coming in the next Mac app update: the small preview after a capture is quicker to dismiss and keeps your Beautify choice ready for the next job.

    Improved
    • Swipe left with two fingers to dismiss the preview after a screenshot or recording.
    • Turning Beautify off in the capture preview is remembered for future screenshots and recordings until you turn it on again.

    A fresh logo and signature green bring more character to the app and website. Opening the app shows a brief black launch screen with the green logo.

    • Editor sidebar icons change colour on hover without adding a background or border.
    • Tool tiles have more vertical space, and redaction actions sit below the Blur and Pixelate choices.
    • The text capture panel shows a readable preview and a countdown ring around its close button.

    Your first shot starts with a clear setup

    On a fresh install, Orbshot now opens its setup checklist first. The macOS Screen Recording request appears only after you press Grant, so the permission has context before the operating system asks for it.

    Fixed
    • Launch, activation and permission polling no longer trigger the Screen Recording dialog on their own.
    • The Screen Recording row distinguishes Not asked yet from a denied request and offers the correct next step for each state.
